Writers shape how our clients’ worlds come to life – how they sound, feel, and connect. This role will have you involved from the earliest stages of a project through final delivery, helping make sense of complexity, finding the right angle, and giving ideas language that feels clear, human, and genuine. You thrive amongst a diversity of client types and industries, and enjoy work in arts, cultural, technology and consumer products categories.
At Rudy, writing is part of the core creative process. You’ll work closely with directors, designers, and strategists to develop ideas together and carry them through into all applications, channels and designs. That might mean defining a voice, building a messaging system, writing a campaign, or refining a single line until it lands just right. You’ll move between big-picture thinking and detailed writing, depending on what the work needs.
This role will have you:
- Develop and articulate brand positioning, messaging frameworks, and narrative systems
- Write across a range of outputs — brand voice, campaigns, websites, social, and editorial
- Contribute strategically: distill research and messy inputs into clear, compelling ideas and language
- Collaborate closely with Design Directors, strategists, and creatives to shape cohesive brand worlds
- Present work internally and externally with clarity, confidence, and openness
- Explore tone, voice, and storytelling across different audiences and contexts
- Embrace experimentation, AI-assisted workflows, and non-linear creative exploration when useful
- Maintain high standards for clarity, craft, and conceptual integrity throughout the process
You might be a great fit if:
- You have 3–7 years of experience in branding, editorial, advertising, or adjacent fields
- You’re fluent in tone, voice, storytelling, and messaging systems

This a contract role, either project-based or for set periods of time, depending on the engagement.
